Burrito League is intentionally simple. The rules define the common structure followed by leagues worldwide, based on the original Tempe, Arizona Burrito League.

Each league creates a single, short, publicly accessible Strava segment.

The challenge begins at your earliest convenience in January and concludes at 11:59pm, January 31 (Jamil’s birthday).

Participants may complete and log the segment as many times as they choose.

The Strava Local Legend leaderboard is based on the total number of completed segment efforts. Not speed or time.

All runs must be public on Strava. If you Strava activities are set to private by default, you must make them public as soon as possible after finishing your activity.

Running and walking both count. There are no pace or performance requirements.

Use the “RUN” setting on your watch or Strava app when recording your activity. It’s ok if you walk the whole time. You can edit previous activities to “Run”.
